Adrian studied piano in Northampton with Ida Griffin and in his teens wrote several compositions for the Northampton Youth Orchestra. He was fortunate to meet the English composer, Trevor Hold, who briefly taught him and steered him to have lessons off the musicologist, Will Yeoman. With Will, Adrian studied harmony, stylistic composition and piano for three years before reading for a degree in music at the UEA in Norwich and for an LRAM with Sydney Harrison in London. After university he conducted over 30 musicals for all many Norfolk Operatic Societies. After a spell helping at the National Youth Music Theatre in the late 80’s Adrian set up the Norfolk Youth Music Theatre. He has now directed over 70 shows for the company and received outstanding reviews for all of them.
Adrian started teaching piano in his 20’s and has had pupils ever since. He has accompanied 100’s of singers, played for examinations and been répétiteur for choirs and many theatre companies.
